Each beach in Le Marche promises more than just a day by the sea—it’s an invitation to immerse yourself in stunning landscapes, unforgettable adventures, and the timeless allure of the Adriatic coast.
Don’t get caught this year in one of the crowded Italian tourist beaches. Instead, whilst the tourist trail heads to the west coast, those in the know will be heading to the calm, slow living east side of Italy where you will find the untouched coastline of Le Marche, a true hidden gem yet to be discovered. Here you will find over 160km of breathtaking beauty, crystal blue flag waters and hilltop beachside villages, offering some of the most captivating beaches in Italy. Below are some of our favourite must-visit beaches and the unforgettable experiences waiting for you all within 45 minutes or less from Oliveto Estate.
Spiaggia delle Due Sorelle – Take boat ride to one of Europe’s best beaches
Hailed as one of the best beaches in Europe, this iconic beach is accessible only by boat, this untouched paradise is framed by two iconic rock formations rising from the crystal-clear water called the ‘Two sisters’, ‘Due Sorelle’. Here you can swim, snorkel, or simply bask in the serenity of this magical escape. Our top tip is to organise a boat trip to get there early so you can enjoy a morning swim and paddle boarding followed by lunch on board with almost no one around and leave before the sun disappears behind the majestical Monte Conero and you can then capture sunset and enjoy an aperitivo on the boat ride home.

Sirolo Beaches – Discover a hilltop town and magical beach in one day
You’ll be spoilt for choice with Urbani, San Michele, Sassi Neri, Sirolo’s idyllic beaches are a dream come true for those seeking tranquility and natural splendor as well as being able to discover the beautiful hilltop town of Sirolo. With Urbani’s charming cave, San Michele’s hidden coves, and Sassi Neri’s dramatic beauty, there’s a slice of paradise for everyone. Our suggestion would be to start the morning by taking a stroll around Sirolo on arrival, followed by lunch with a view at the delicious Ristorante Da Silvio, before you go and siesta under an ombrellone on the San Michele beach.

Portonovo Beach – For the adventure seeker
If you’re searching for some wave action within the lush Conero Riviera, this enchanting mix of sandy and pebbly shores is a haven for adventure seekers. Here you can try surfing, windsurfing, or canoeing while surrounded by nature’s grandeur. For those who want a hearty lunch on the beach afterwards, you will be spoilt for choice. One of our favourites is Marcellos!

San Benedetto del Tronto – Perfect for larger groups
Located in the south of Le Marche and known as the Riviera delle Palme, this palm-lined stretch of soft sands is perfect for those seeking a great day out with a variety of things to do, great for larger groups. You will find the typical ombrellone and beach beds along side each Bagnino (beach bar) who lay on their best spreads with local dishes from the area. Here you can cycle the picturesque promenade, savour fresh seafood freshly caught that morning, visit the boutique stores or explore the outdoor Museo d’ Arte sul mare (MAM:Museum of Art on the Sea) which is an open air museum showcasing the murals and sculptures of over 180 artists from 39 countries.

Civitanova Marche – Take a walk to our local beach.
Our lively local town boasts 8km of crystal clear sandy and pebble beaches separated by the port that sits in between them. The waters are very shallow on the sandy side, and deeper on the southern pebble side of the beach, where you will find kite surfing and paddle boarding experiences. Along this coast you will find many great beach bars and delicious restaurants for both lunch and dinner, beautiful boutique stores as well as gelaterias for a perfect 4pm gelato! Getting there is super easy, it is only 7 minutes by car or you can walk down the pedestrianised path from Oliveto Estate in less than hour as it is only 6km away!
